Support Professionally Rewarding Careers
Breaking down the traditional isolated role of teachers is critical in the process of providing a professionally rewarding career for all teachers. That means building career paths that give teachers the satisfactions of a rewarding career, from induction to accomplished teaching. To address this challenge, the Commission calls on states, school systems, unions, and school boards to provide superior staff, support new teachers, promote professional development, and recognize and reward accomplished teachers.
There are a variety of programs highlighted in this section, as well as, reports that focus on how to develop and maintain a rewarding career path for all teachers.
