NCTAF, MetLife Foundation and the Chalkboard Project convened a stimulating forum on the Future of Teaching in Oregon. The forum focused on the most pressing teaching quality issues for Oregon and the policies needed to support innovative teaching practices. We also looked at the impact of Oregon's New Diploma Requirements, legislation on mentoring, recruitment and retention of highly effective teachers, professional development standards and Oregon's teacher preparation programs.
